I'm replacing a rear tie rod end this weekend on my C5. The dealer quoted me $250 to fix it, so I decided to do it myself.

I've never done a tie rod end before and was wondering if anybody could point me to a post that thoroughly explains it or if anybody has some tips to make to job go smooth.

Thanks

Changing the tie rod is easy, the issue is that you need to do a wheel alignment after the change.

This means a visit to a wheel alignment shop after the change.

I changed my tie rods, for the pleasure of doing it, and then went to a wheel alignment shop.

May be the wheel alignment shop will give you a better price?
