Does anyone know how to remove the Rear window reveal molding? Neither the GM sevice book nor the assy man. has helped me.

Also, what does the term birdcage rot mean???

I can't help with the rear window but the rot is when the cowl and 'A' pillar area start to rust out

If your talking about the plastic frame on the inside of the rear window (mine's a '77), it's held in with a few screws. You have to remove the panels around it first.

Thanks for the responce, I am actually talking about the aluminum trim around the outside of the glass. The satin black paint is coming off of mine and I want to repaint it.
