-400hp/400tq to the crank
-Basically bulletproof engine/transmission
-Good for long drives, comfortable
-The "badass" factor
-You get looks on the road
-Can destroy pretty much any car on the road
-Decent gas milage
-Top-off driving with removable top
-Proven chassis
-Nice headlights
-Composite body panels
-Nice big brakes
-Big wide tires
-Nice option packages, can fit the likes of almost everyone
-Can do 180+mph
-Drag Coefficient of 0.26-28(forget which one it was)
-Not hard to drive
-Car is built to be driven till it dies and or blows up
-Meet interesting people with other Corvette's
-You buy into the heritage of the car 1953-present (skipping 1983)
-Weights less than most other sports cars
-Proven technology (pushrod engine, etc...)
-Not a pain to maintain, just as maintainable as other cars on the road
-Good gains with engine mods/etc...

Yeah, what he said... ;~)
hahaha wow you must know a lot about corvettes. I actualy just got back from looking at corvettes and they had some vettes and a z06. The salesmen didnt seem to know anything. I knew more about the cars then the salesmen. Never going back to that chevrolet again. He didnt even know how to open the hatch. :WTF
The only solid reason I've ever seen to purchase a Corvette is to satisfy your own desire to have one.

All the other reasons are just fluff.

Steven
Because you want to. Nuff said
Two reasons--

1. Because you'll never regret it.

2. Because once you have one, you'll say "Why did I wait so long to get one?":partyon:
Maybe you should be looking at reasons not to buy a Vette ;)

The dealer I bought my car from had a guy that was the Corvette salesman... and had been for 15 plus years. He knew the car inside and out.

That wouldnt make for much of a discussion. :rolling:

Ive have found that people buy corvettes for three main reasons:

1) They truly love them and no other car is a possibility.
2) They want a performance car that can be driven every day (they usually quickly become a member of group #1)
3) They have too much money and want a fast car.

The best reason to buy is for the community and the wave.

SAVE THE WAVE!!

Because the Vette is the best damn sports car there is for the money!!!

here are the cars im looking into. dont take performance into account b/c i know the vette will spank these but just compare basics.
audi tt
nissan 350z
infiniti g35/37 coupe

so if you were a salesman what would you tell me to convince me to buy this car. (reasons besides outstanding performance)

The interesting thing about everyone of those cars you just mentioned is that they all look the same basically.

You will not have that problem with a corvette:thumbsup:
