New to the site and just bought a 2007 Atomic Orange Convertible. I want to put a GPS tracker system in before I venture out of the garage. There appears to be quite a range of tracker systems available. I was hoping to get some recommendations from the DC collective wisdom and prior experiences before I plunk down $400-$1000 for a system. LoJack was my first thought, but it relies on the cops being responsive and timely. Early warning GPS systems would seem a better choice. Thanks for the advise.

Does you car have OnStar? If it does, just get that service ...otherwise .. I hope other people on this site can help.

Probably one of the last built without OnStar

Looking back three weeks ago, should have added OnStar on the wish list, but...water over the dam, since it can not be retro-fitted. I hope someone has had good experiences with one or more of the alternatives (beside LoJack, unless I can be convinced LoJack is OK, but seems like old technology).

Narrowed search for GPS tracker

Looks like the leaders in the new technology are Clifford 210v, Omega, ForceTracker, and MobileIQ. Any real experiences out there? Help!
