Hey guys i need some help on removing the gas tank on my '84 vette and also is it easy

you dont need to drop the tank. just remove the center filler under the lid. Sifin the water, leave it open for a few days to air out. or disconect the fuel filter and pump it out, but I would take it apart and replace the pump if it has not been done it will save you time when it does go out. every 84 I have had has needed one at some point.:crazy: , dont forget to replace the filter.:thumbsup:

thanks Nicko, but there is water in my gas tank i just found out so would your method still work because i wanna get all the water out.

Is there just water & gas in the tank? The car looks like it's been sitting for a while and sometimes when they sit unused for a long time, you'll get rust, goo, gunk and who knows what in the tank.

What does the sock on the fuel pickup look like?
