A while back I ordered one of the detail kits from Adams. This may sound dumb, but the bucket it came with was really handy - it fit in the car, the screw-top kept everything inside, with the top on it was just the right height to sit on while detailing the wheels - I used it all the time. Unfortunately, at the last show I took my car to, someone liked the bucket as much as I did and it disappeared.

I contacted Adam's to see if I could buy just the bucket, but they don't sell them separately, they only sell it in a set with the caddy. Since I can't use the caddy (it won't roll around on my stone/concrete driveway), I can't see paying $40+ just to get the bucket.

Has anyone seen that type of wash bucket somewhere else?

Close enough. Funny, though. Adams has the (bigger) bucket, grit guard, and caddy for $50, and the caddy alone for $35. Seems like the bucket alone should be in the $15 range, yet MAD is selling it for $34.99.

Anyhow, thanks for the pointer, I missed that in my catalog. If I can't find one cheaper, it might be worth my while to just buy the whole set. Maybe I can use the caddy to roll beer around in the garage. :laughing:

If nothing else, maybe even try your local parts store (Advance, Auto Zone, Pep Boys) or even Wal Mart. I hate to say it, but sometimes I find things there that I can't get other places. :thumbsup:

I am lucky to have 2 adam's buckets.

One is filled to the top as a dog water bucket in the kitchen, the other gets car duty.

I am sure you can find good buckets that size at a home depot. But, if you want a clear one with the red ring on it... gotta call Adam.
