I re-welded the diff x-member, I'm gonna cnc up the trans x-member plates tomorrow and make the rest of the 6 link mounts.

They missed 6" at a time in some places :surprised

and the "junk" pile grows...

I pressed the old ones out and I have a new set to press in after I'm done welding and painting. :thumbsup:

have you considered plating over the (bushing) holes, drilling a couple of holes and bolting it up solid??

Just FYI - this is a great mod for a race car...but HORRIBLE for a street car. It will transmit the diff sounds right into the cabin and drive you insane without rubber between it.

I would weld the whole thing in place, just use a small access panel on the inside of the car to get at the 4 diff bolts. Much easier than popping the damn thing off anyway.

Maybe later....

I worked in the machine shop last night... Made up the weldments for the strut rod bracket and CNC Plasma'd up the flanges for the removable cross members...

I used 3/16 plate and 1" by 0.5 wall 513 DOM tube.

I also made the upper strut rod mounts form the same 1" DOM. I'll use some 0.125 plate and some gussets to weld to the diff xmember.

Need to be on the road next weekend :thud:
