The Fellows edition is a beautifull car:thumbsup: No question about that!!
Dont let the dealers tell you that you have to pay big money over MSRP:thud: Just trying to help here!!!!!!!!:cheers:

I refused an RFZ at $5,000 over TODAY:surprised I contacted about 50 dealers all week:smack back and forth finally got one down to 5K over. REFUSED THE OFFER!!!!:crazy: You guy's at MSRP, so you say..LUCKY!!

After talking to quite a few so called "Corvette Experts" I am going with another regular Z06 for $5K UNDER:thumbsup: I was told as soon as the speculator's drop out on the RFZ:lookinup: You will be able to get a decent deal. REMEMBER. "Only chrome bumper Corvette's increase in value"

SO!!:cheers: If you want a RFZ..do not take the BS from the Dealers, and the Brokers:buhbye: WORK UM!!!!! Good Luck.

I know that I will hear some flack about this:laughing: Dont waste your time.

I would love to be able to say the same and be in your shoes! That car has got to be a blast!:devil:
Yes it is a crazy market.

I was offered $20K over today on a car I can't even get. We have the one here for the enjoyment of everyone as part of the dealer collection....so yes - this is a car you'll have to pay to get....let's face it , we're only talking about 300 retail units. I think a lot is how it is presented and what the makret is...down the road, there will be , as there are now, MANY HAPPY RON FELLOWS Z06 OWNERS.

Just want to keep it light and positive boys.....
Enjoy the car guys!

Rick, I know we are a Corvette site and all of that, but has anyone seen what low number Shelby Mustangs have brought at Barret-Jackson? As far as I know no one bitches about it, but I don't frequent Mustang forums(although I have one, another story) If I had an open checkbook I would pay whatever I wanted for the car I wanted. That is what has brought us where we are. Alot of people with alot of money in this country. Harley did it for years and people lined up. No bitching. And those bikes they paid more than MSRP for and waited a year for aren't worth a penny more than the Harley a guy bought used that has 15000 miles on are worth. I honestly don't understand the problem. If your house is worth 150,000 dollars and you price it at 300,000 and someone walks in and says I'll take it,cash, are you going to tell him no? If you don't want it for that price, no problem, it's a big country! Find the deal you want and be happy! What's the damn difference?

Hot Z06, this was definitly not mean't to be an attack on your thread. You are doing it correctly and I for one envy you:thumbsup:

Rick..You are always positive:thumbsup: Thats why everyone loves, and respects you:cheers:

Teach me how it is done;)

Not trying to hurt anyone..Just passing along some info that I learned the hard way:thud:

LOVE YOUR JACKET!!!! But..Have not used one in Florida in Years:smack
I think the problem is that most assume MSRP can only be discounted from.

MSRP is the manufacturer suggested retail price. Not "maximum" suggested retail price.

It can go up or down based on market pricing. Just like lobster, or diamonds, or gasoline.

Great ,now I;'m hungry.....:laughing: :laughing: :laughing:
Interesting thread.
Everyone has their opinion of what to pay for a specialty car, such as a RF Corvette. No one is right or wrong.

Cars are not a good investment. Period. Sure, we see all the hype during the Barrett Jackson auctions. Sure, some, I repeat some, cars appreciate in value over time. If you have the time (10 years or more), you could probably sell the car for more $ than what you origianlly paid. BUT, to do so, consider:
* buyers commission
* transport cost
* insurance cost
* maintenance cost
* AND MOST IMPORTANT, do NOT drive it. :down:

Me, I'd rather drive and enjoy my Corvette, and invest in no-load, low expense ratio, growth mutual funds.

You could probably sell at a profit buying at MSRP:cheers: BUT:thud: Not some one that is buying in at 20K+ from GM/Media hype/ greedy dealer type.

Best of luck:thumbsup: Do you notice any better downforce from the spoiler at 198 ???:smack Just kidding:cheers:
The RFZ cracks me up...

The Ron Fellow Z is just GMs way of showing there is a sucker born every minute. Just like the poor fools who fell for the hype on the "Mamba" edition Vipers, Ron Fellow Z owners will realize their mistake in about 8 months or less. That is when the car will be "just another used Z".

Congrats to GM and the dealers for capitalizing on the foolishness of others:nuts:
uhh i have to disagree with you rippin c6! I think that the RF Z06 is a beautiful car and may be the the only c6 z06 model to hold its value. my two cents

Why? What is different from any other Z car except for stickers and a tack on spoiler?
He's right. Its basically just a white Z06. The stripes don't even come on it from the factory if I am not mistaken. They are added, or not added, at the dealer. I mean, its a hot car but basically just a cosmetic upgrade. Now, if it had 600 HP............
It will be better if they NEVER make another white c6 zo6 but i think they will.

They only made white in 01 on the C5 zo6 so who knows.............
"Now I can shut up and drive"

That's a plus!
No White Z06's Being Produced

Rick Conti told me that he has confirmed that GM will Not :surprised Be making a white Z06. Only the RFZ:cheers:
You did not believe that statement did you??

That's a plus!
