East to Easton - Saturday, November 13, 2010
Pavement Ends (Again) – Sunday, November 14, 2010
The East to Easton Rally is a TSD (time-speed-distance) Touring Rally
sanctioned by the Kansas City Region of the SCCA. This event will run over the
paved roads of eastern Kansas, ending in Ozawkie, Kansas, with the start
location in Lawrence, Kansas.
Pavement Ends (Again) is also a TSD Touring rally that will use good quality,
but unpaved roads to provide contestants with more checkpoints and interesting
scenery. This rally starts and ends near Lawrence, Kansas and the event is
sanctioned by the Kansas Region of the SCCA.
These events are a test of precision driving and teamwork between driver and
navigator. Straightforward, non-devious route instructions with specified average
speeds will test the rallyists’ ability to arrive at unknown checkpoint locations on
time, neither early nor late.
Any street-legal automobile capable of normal rural highway speeds can be
entered. Rest stops are planned during the rally, at convenience stores enroute.
