Political profiteering at it's finest...people such as Sanders have absolutely no decency nor respect for the victims. I saw this clown on Anderson Cooper 360 tonight as well as this email that the Tea Party Express sent out 48 hours after the shooting:

This weekend we all were horrified to hear the news of the violent shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and several others in Arizona. One thing that surprised us was how many in the news media and liberal political figures and organizations immediately launched into an attack on the tea party movement - assigning blame for the shooting to our grass roots, Constitutionalist movement in general, and Gov. Sarah Palin in particular.
Friends, this is outrageous.
It is quite clear that liberals are trying to exploit this shooting for their own political benefit, and they used deception and dishonesty to try and smear all of us and our beliefs.
You know what the truth is? The truth is that the shooter, Jared Loughner is the one responsible for this atrocity. But liberals are trying to place the blame on society for embracing the tea party movement.
We here at the Tea Party Express find that disgusting and revolting.
This isn't a new concept for liberals. Let us harken back to the words of Ronald Reagan when he called out the Left for similar behavior in years past:
"We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions."
- Ronald Reagan
If Jared Loughner does have a definable political ideology it is that of a far Left anarchist. Loughner is a mentally disturbed young man who sought his ideological fulfillment from the Communist Manifesto - hardly the Bible of the Tea Party movement. He posted videos of flag burning on his YouTube channel - again, antics more consistent with Blame America First liberals, not the tea party movement.
In fact, Loughner's interactions with Congresswoman Giffords date all the way back to 2007 when he confronted her with a question he had, and received an answer he found unacceptable. You read that right - Loughner's interactions with Congresswoman Giffords date back to 2007 - well before the tea party movement had even been launched.
This was all an effort to try and demean us and diminish support for the tea party movement, since the Left could not beat us at the ballot box. Sadly way too many people in the media cooperated with this smear campaign.
The media didn't tell you that the left-wing website, DailyKos, had targeted Congresswoman Giffords, putting a BULLSEYE on her, did they? But that's just what happened.
Instead they tried to blame Gov. Sarah Palin. Friends, their hypocrisy and double standards are appalling.
This kind of media bias is a large part of why our tea party movement exists - because the voices of We The People have not been represented fairly by the news media, and listened to by our elected officials.
Well guess what: to those liberals in the news media and on the political Left who think you can silence us, you are wrong! Your efforts to try and smear us and shut us up will fail.
We have nothing to do with this awful, tragic event in Arizona. Our prayers are with Congresswoman Giffords and the victims and families of this massacre.
But we will still fight just as passionately for this country we love, and the vision of our Founding Fathers as outlined by the Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
We're taking our country back through the ballot box and in the public square - through peaceful means. And we will prevail, because our ideas and ideals are stronger than the scare/smear/defame tactics of the leftists we face.
We ask you to please stand with the Tea Party Express and show your support for our efforts.

If that is a real email it is in poor taste and is just as bad as Sanders statements/request. Who sent that out? I see it's not signed so I have to question the authenticity of it.

Your first link goes to this campaign email... which btw, doesn't resemble any TPE emails I have seen.

This morning we put a call out to 400,000 patriots across this nation – including yourself. Our plea was to get constitutional conservatives such as yourself to pitch in to our final election push as we are just 1-week away from Election Day.

Our goal: to raise $1 MILLION so that we could push the best constitutional candidates in the country over the top to victory. We’d then with the House, and perhaps even the Senate.

But we failed – all of us. As of this evening only 250 people made a contribution.

This is one of the greatest failures we here at the Tea Party Express have ever had in terms of raising money for a campaign push, and this is the worst possible time for us to fail: just 1 WEEK out before Election Day.

We MUST do better. Everyone can pitch in, and everyone can forward this email to all their friends, family members, colleagues etc… If EVERYONE pitches in, and if those of you who can afford a more generous contribution can please do so, then we can reach this goal and help take our country back. The stakes couldn’t be higher, and we cannot accept failure at this point. We simply can’t – our country’s future is on the line here.

We basically have a socialist in the White House who believes in the redistribution of wealth and government intervention and control into the lives of Americans. We can only stop him if we first take back Congress. But 250 people contributing – versus the hundreds of millions we’re up against from lobbyists, special interests and labor unions – that won’t cut it.

If every person reading this email can make a contribution today we will meet our goal. Some of you will be able to afford a more generous contribution of $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more up to the $5,000 allowed maximum contribution. This is it – our last chance to win these races. We are counting on you for your support.

Please support this effort by making a contribution online – HERE.

Again, to those of you who can contribute a larger amount of $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500 – or up to the maximum allowed contribution of $5,000 per individual (married couples can contribute $5,000 each for a total of $10,000) – please help us out. We’re running out of time in this campaign, and yet we still have so much to do.

We here at the Tea Party Express will pledge to work morning, noon and night through Election Day. We just need your support to help achieve a historic result!
This is link 2... looks more like an actual TPE email, but doesn't resemble your 1st post.

Link 3, from Politico is the identical text you posted. But the email don't look like other authentic TPE emails. Hmm, no one at politico is willing to put their name on the article? All emails from any political group I have seen, include "Click To Donate" links..

Your initial text looks more like a hurried blogger entry.. And 2 of your 3 supporting links, don't match your post..

The tea party express hasnt updated their website since before the election and hasnt made a blog post since August 16th, 2010. If they are still an active organization, they suck at organizing and I doubt they sent the email.

Why would they stop updating their website if they wish to continue building a grassroots movement? It makes me think that their sole purpose was to win Congress this election cycle, not change the country over time.

The Tea Party movement in TX is still going strong. Our state legislature started it's session in the last couple of days and the first order of business is to elect a Speaker, who has lots of legislative power. The guy who has been in that post for several sessions is a middle of the road Republican who the Tea Party considers a RINO. They thought they had the new electees by the balls and were going to be able to unseat the incumbent, but the voting bloc fell apart yesterday and the Tea party candidate dropped out. It's a pretty big bust for the Tea party who is now threatening all of the new people with Tea Party support for new candidates next election cycle. I support the Tea Party in general, but their tactics in Austin this week were beyond what I can support. They are going to lose a lot of support if they don't start acting like grown-ups instead of middle schoolers.

Straus is a RINO. There is no debate about that part.. and this is the Tea Party's first cycle, with a lot of new players in politics, can't really expect them to get it right, first try. By your logic, both parties should break up and go home. I don't particularly like Straus as speaker, but he is a good politician and does a decent job of keeping us out of being listed with the likes of NY & CA, where the partisan divides are epic.

Dont worry.

The Koch brothers still want 200 dollars per barrel of oil, so the will mash the tea party button again soon....
Ahh, another emotional (yet baseless) post regarding nothing. Now, had you said:

"Barry still wants the cost of electricity to necessarily skyrocket, so the Tea Party button will be pushed again!"

That would be an independent though based in factual information and verifiable reference. See the difference? No? No worries.. we knew you wouldn't..
