1) Motor Trend should have hired Bkuper to do the drawings, those just plain suck!

2) I won't be buying that issue!

I dont know about you guys but i think Digital Corvettes should come out with a bi-monthly magazine. It would sure give Motor Trend a run for its money on the C-6 section. How much money would it take to do a small magazine with only like 20-30 pages?? Any magizine managers out there in DC land.. any connections? .... just a thought... (or maybe i had too much unbaked creme' bruley' for thanks giving)

I think motor trend just took pics of the c5 rearend. That doesn't look like the lines of the C6.

Great minds think alike! I was pondering this the other day... but thought it was far to large of an undertaking for just one man.

While I agree that's a pretty poor article in Motor Trend, I can't help but cut them SOME slack. They had to have everything set for that issue a long time ago, before the "boat shop" pics and the San Fran pics were available.
And if GM doesn't give the mags a look BEFORE the January auto show, it's likely to be February or maybe March before the mags have pics and decent articles with note worthy details.

THAT is exactly the point. The big car rags - MT, C&D and R&T - have contacts and unofficial "leakers" inside all of the car corps. Several months prior to the C5 release, MT published drawings that were almost dead on. Only difference was the the scallops over the tail lights that were CHANGED by GM at the last moment. MT was not shy about pointing this out to establish their creditability with their last C6 guess that was ugly and wrong. Let's assume that they had to lock the presses two months ago for this issue. That's only 3 months before release. Sorry, I can't see cutting them any slack. They, and the other car mags blew it. Thank heavens for ISLANDHOPER!!!!

If they have "leakers" at the auto companies, then yeah, I agree the articles pre car show should be better, no doubt. But I also think that GM has really done a good (depending on your point of view) job of keeping the lid on this thing. There will always be thories that they left he cover off the car in San Fran on purpose. I tend to think it was just some idiot who got lazy and didn't do his job. But good for us cause we got the pics. I hope all the car rags get an official look before Jan 4 so all the nex issuses will be full of what we want to see. After all, i want to read as much as I can about my next new car.

To hell with the pics, I want to see one in person.

If you expect detailed, accurate info from these types of rags then your expectations always will exceed the actual. This applies to most non specific model mags aimed at the general public, whether it be car, boat, or whatever. IMHO
