Running lean. sounds like you have an air leak or a bad MAF. Put it back to stock to see if the trouble clears. Are you getting any trouble codes?

I just put an aftermarket intake (bridge & filter) on the C5 & now she'se not seeming to find idle & getting real hot real fast I've checked for leakes in the intake system, seems to be tight, yesterday I drove it about 10 miles & got out and felt the alternator & it was so hot I thought it was going to start melting, any thoughts greatly apprec. update- blew a head gasket
