I stopped looking at the stocks.

I'll be ok as I always prepare for stuff like this.

I have had a conference or two cancelled.

I hated going to those things anyway, so I'm good there too. I get a few days back.

I'm sure my business will suffer a little, but can use the internet for most stuff anyway thanks to docusign.

Most sporting events are cancelled, but since I don't give a **** about baseball, basketball, or golf I don't care.

I'm getting more stuff done around the house.

Can't visit an old buddy (veteran) in the nursing home for now which sux. But his brain is scrambled so he may not miss me.

Matt

As of yesterday my life has been the same as always. Unfortunately, this will change drastically since the governor of PA has begun to shut down my county with mandates and restrictions. I have to believe this will be the trend going forward for the next 2-3 weeks, or until we start to get past this "crisis".

So I went to Costco in Wisconsin this morning. About 15 minutes after they open. The parking lot was packed with cars!
I have never seen this before.
I went in as I needed to buy some wine, booze, and snaks for a party on Tuesday night.
The check out line started in front of the store went to the rear of the store and turned back through the store to the cash registers.
Everyone was buying toilet paper! I left my cart in the store and walked out when I heard it took 3-4 hours to check out.
I'll just go to a liquor store and a few bucks extra. People are in panic mode.
All we have to fear, is fear itself right? (that's from a WC quote for you young people)

Nothing has changed for me except my portfolio has gone down but it isn't a loss unless you sell. It will come back. As far as everything else, I have always washed my hand and wiped my ass before all this. I just wonder what all the people that are buying toilet paper were using before

I've always been amazed how poor people's hygiene is at my local gym. I often see guys leaving the bathroom without washing their hands. I always made sure I thoroughly scrub my hands before leaving the gym... yuck!

I don't shake hands with my clients (everybody seems to be OK with it) and I wash my hands a few more times a day. All my toilets have bidets on them -so the "great toilet paper scare" doesn't affect us much. I did, however, purchase a couple of bottles of Fish Mox Forte in case there is a run on antibiotics at the local hospitals. Grabbed a few extra propane tanks for cooking and a few extra 5-gallon water cooler jugs from Depot... That's about it.

I still believe this is a lot of narrated hype designed to spook the American public. I'm relaxed and taking the same precautions I would for the flu.

In the meantime...

Illinois just shut down all restaurants and bars until march 30th.
You can still get drive through and delivery.

Is anybody else rationing T.P. in their homes, yet? Or just me? 2 squares is enough. Like the bears taught us on the TV. I represent a family of 5 and let me just say that 10 or 20 years from now when I look back I will not remember coronavirus or covid-19 but rather I will recall the great TP shortage of 2020. The black days when we had to choose between blowing our nose into our hands or wiping with our hands. And why did everybody buy all the TP anyways? What is wrong with this world? Sh*tting yourself isn't even a side effect of the coronavirus.

Like Bernie Sanders said years ago, when he was just a young socialist:

"Waiting in line for toilet paper is a good thing. The poor people are getting toilet paper. In some countries people go without"
