what are my best options? I see remans all over the interenet, wondering if I'll have to have it flashed at the dealer. There are no phone numbers to call, haven't got time for email customer service. Then there are a few places that do it all at quite an expense. Decisions, decisions.

Remans are OK, cost like $125 over larger cost for new one
If new someone has to flash it with your VIN# and correct versions of software.

If getting reman make sure you have a tuner who knows how to force changes the VIN# and to copy in the correct and newer code segments.

GM dealers do not do OFF-Board flashing so you would have to tow car to dealer, install new PCM and have them flash it

Most likely with a PCM change you need to do a PCM to BCM relearn, might have to do a crank position sensor relearn to PCM

Best to have newest GM code segments copied in before tuning.
