would a small sandblasting gun work as a soda blaster ? I need to clean up my windshield frame to paint it . By the way the car is in primer & I know I will need to mask it off & tarp it real good

No it will not work, soda blasters are direct pressure not gravity fed. Soda blasting also requires a much higher pressure.

Just the other night on American Restoration they used a soda blaster on an old metal candy bar dispenser..... it was amazing how well it worked on that delicate metal. When they tried sand blasting it kept curling and when they tried crushed walnuts nothing came off.

Soda is what dental hygienists use to blast your teeth.
The little machine they have uses a slurry of soda mixed with water and low air pressure.
You may be able to try that with a small gun.

I have a sandblast attachment for a pressure cleaner, so the water method does work very well. None of the usual dust, it's just all wet.
