I recently ordered grilles and louvers for my head and tail lights and I thought they would of came black like they are in the picture =/ but instead they are this weird grayish blue looking color and being a picky as I am I want them black. They're made of plastic so I wanna be sure I get the right kind of spray paint that wont start cracking after 3 months, I found some at walmart that says its for plastic but idk im not too comfortable using walmart stuff on my baby, Im sure you guys are the same way. Is there special kind of spray paint that is like permanent and made just for car parts? or do u guys have any suggestions on something else I should do? also is it a good idea to spray them with some clear after they're black or will it make them look stupid if anyone has ever done anything like this before.

Thanks, Bobby

You can use many paints not designed for plastic if you use the correct primer. However, for parts this small, I would just use krylon or another plastic paint from walmart.

I'm a fan of and always use rustoulem. Krylon is very good to and I've had good sucess with that as well. Just make sure the parts are clean, prime and paint with several thin coats.
