Race seat steering wheel

After the first stage of polishing

What you can't see is fresh rotors, hawk pads, and new braided rear brake lines. Oh and also the inserts in the side pipes. They helped the bottom end a lot. Haven't got to 6500-6800 RPM yet to see if they are restrictive.

I'm thinking about smoothing out the floor some and painted it flt black. What are your opinions?

I also need to repaint the steering column and horn button

The e-brake cover will get a leather cover. I'm getting with red line goods to make the prototype. :D

Edit: and brake ducts. Haven't finished the nozzle yet though. I need to order a 180* 3" bend for that and they they will be done.

Rhino Line it!
You have one bad ass C3 dude.

I agree with the flat black call on the floor, I think that would look awesome.
Don't forget the leaves on the floor, for that "Turtlevette" look.:rolling:
I dunno...I think you need a chrome bumper conversion kit.....:rolling:
I would rhino line it but I don't feel like taking the seats out again. Also I think it's just too permanent.

I kind of want some texture on the floor with the flat black. I don't know if I want it smooth. I'll have to try some different things.

The leaves were there but they are in the vacuum cleaner now. I think for the total "turtlevette" look I'll have to drive out to the beach and submerge it over night. :rolling:

I have the chrome bumper kit on order with my titanium rotors. Seems like they've been back ordered forever.

Does anyone remember where I can get the aluminum pedals? They bolted in and looked nice.

Very nice man! I have been meaning to ask you. How much hp does your motor put out exactly?

I don't really even know. I just know it's fast enough. It went 110 MPH in the quarter.

I think I'm going to put in the door bars soon.

And thanks for the comments everyone :D
drive the ucfk out of it this weekend and good luck!

If you guys actually ever run your car on the track you'd understand that having a show n' shiner is not compatible with putting a car on the track and running it hard.

i just drove my car 9 hours to Calabogie Motorsports in Canada ran the crap out of it all day then drove 9 hours back. How many of you can do that? Yea i have some cosmetic rust but the **** that counts works. While you guys were TALKING about how pretty your cars look and God knows we see enough TALKING.....i was out having fun beating the crap out of mine.

if you look at a jet fighter you don't see chrome, a bunch of gaudy emblems, and glossy paint job. It looks all business. Thats what my car looks like and i freaking like it.

Polish that yellow some more. Spend a couple of days on it. The chips and black rubber chunk streaks you get your first day on a roadcourse will look better against a high gloss background.

Hey turtle hows this :D

-3M Perfect-It III Machine Glaze

-3M Perfect-It 3000 Ultrafina Finishing Material

-Z1 Zaino

-3M Perfect-It Show Car wax

Dam love bugs are all over, thats what the black dots are

I was actually thinking the brake dust and everything would look nice. The hawk pads leave an amazing amount of dust. You oughta see my under carriage. I can't even tell what color the parts are by my brakes. My car does have plenty of chips. I have a busted out left rear fender also. Only chrome I have is the factory stuff and what was given to me (side pipes).

I don't like chrome under the engine compartment but everything has to painted and neat. I actually enjoy doing it. I enjoyed polishing and waxing it this morning also. And I will also enjoy beating the hell out of it hopefully tomorrow.

I think tomorrow we may be rained out. And My car isn't allowed to be wet or it will melt.

Amen Brother!:partyon: :partyon:
You can always tell a new racer by how waxed, clean, and straight the body is , unless you are racing vintage....:surprised I love each mark on my car. Its like a written history of racing. Once one is on the track, its very rare to see it make it back. You just keep modifying to go faster...
Thats nice looking. The paint really pops
is it a race car? throw away those trim rings, excess weight!

Yeah I'm taking them off.

They aren't allowed anyways

I think the race is going to be rained out
