I don't know if you have any mods but if you have headers it could be a loose bolt.
Strange Knock in Engine
Strange Knock when I start the engine and idle...no lights come on saying trouble...runs like a monster,lots of power ...it only knocks on idle and when i step on the gas it goes away until it idles again ..I changed the oil and put in new plugs and changed the knock sensor, still hearing it ..sounds like on the passenger side on motor and yes it still making nosie even when the wifes not around :rolling: ..I did add more gas in the tank 93 octane then dry gas and also injector cleaner ..Carshows started and inbassesed on going ..please help..btw ..people keep complaining about gas going up..I feel our cars are worth payin 10 dollars a gallon if it makes you happy cruising in style ..besides I get 20 in the city and 22 on highways unless I punch it and omg its a corvette have to puch it or its not yours ......

If it is an automatic, I'll bet you 20 dollars the torque converter bolts are loose.

thats very comon and don,t forget too check for a loose flexplate mounting bolt or a cracked flexplate or starter ring on the flexplate
