I am currently in the process of saleing my 86 vette to get an 00 manual vette. I plan to put the A&A supercharging kit on it with LG street headers and borla straights. Just how fast will this setup be? andy said around 490RWHP on just the kit alone, but with the exhaust mods im thinking what? probably 510... Im definately thinking I won't have problems with saleens, cobras, SS's, and srt-4's.

Also, Im curious how long the stock clutch will hold? I plan to only have it on the street.

Sounds like you have a plan. How long the stock clutch last depends on how you drive it.

Mid 11's @ low to mid 120's in the quarter in decent air.

I got away for nearly a full season on a stock clutch at 500 rwhp, however once the drag radials and line lock went in the clutch started slipping.

Do you have a manual or automatic? The manual should hold up for 500 HP as long as your not abusing it.:laughing:

Not even the same universe.

I went from 300 rwhp to 500 (ProCharger) to 600 (twin turbo) to 700 (more boost). No comment on what I'm up to for this year. :devil:

Power is very addictive. 500 rwhp is plenty to have fun with. 650ish you start to appreciate how futile traction can be.

Exhaust Decision

Thanks for all the advice.

I decided to modify the stock exhaust, and I have to say with a 6 speed, this is a great solution (see link below). It has a little more sound at idle and low RPM's, but at 3000-3500 RPM it sounds great.
