Sweet LED DRL (Front Markers)

I now have a total of 253 exterior LEDs in my C5. I just installed 18 LED Amber Tower Bulbs in the front portion of the marker unit, and 5-Point Amber LEDs in the side portion. Due to the diamond cut chrome reflective backing of the Depo brand markers we use, the entire unit now illuminates brighter than the OEM unit with standard bulbs. BTW, this is our Smoked & Chrome unit as pictured at the bottom. I do of course have rapid flash now because I didn't install an in-line resistor. After discussing this with another forum member, I've decided to keep the rapid flash. I like how highly noticeable my turn indictors are with the rapid flash. I'm curious if any of you believe this will cause a shorter life of the in-dash flasher??? I'd like to hear your opinions. At any rate, I love the look
Thanks all,
Richard

Hey, Were going to have to start calling you the "Ledman"
They sure do look alot brighter:thumbsup:
Doesnt look a bit bright to me. Maybe cause you took such close pics that you can't even tell if it is a C5 or C6. Need pics of the whole front end.

Um, If you can't tell that's a C5, you need to look a litte closer at your car...

I wouldn't run rapid flash, it would be like you had a bulb out, and by law they have a flash per minute count

AHAAHHAHA, yep, dunno what I was thinking there. I actually went to the garage and looked. :rolling:
