My 86 c4 z51 tail lights and parking lights stay on even after turning switch off. With drivers door open the alarm to let me know the lights are on is sounding. How do I fix this it is draining my battery?

Japing if I had that problem with my parking lights I would try to isolate the circuit. Try to see if the parking lights are on a fuse by their self. If so remove the fuse. Now test for brake lights if they work now you can a least drive the car without running the battery down when parked. Now I’d find a shop I trusted and have them look at it. Could be the switch it self or a relay. Other than that is where my expertise ends. Sorry could not be more help. I have a C6 and it has issues of it’s own that I’ve been chasing. Getting ready to take it to my trusted professional.

You definitely have problems with the electronics on the car. Sounds like you need a specialist. This is absolutely not normal; it is clear that there is some kind of error, and all functions do not work correctly. This is very dangerous on the road because such a mistake can lead to disaster. The specialist should check everything and advise you on what to do or correct this error yourself. Of course, the problem could also be in the headlights themselves, but this is unlikely. I had a problem with the lighting on my car. After replacing all the lighting with products from vont.com, everything worked without problems. However, it looked very different than yours.
