Ty Guys.....helps a lot for someone new at this. ! Now, I am taking the
block in today for reassemblying the new flatheads, crank, rods,etc.
The people closest to me who have done machine stuff for 25 years say
things do not have to be measured, just the block cleaned, etc. is this
correct. ? I don't wan't to pay and be dissapointed with vibes,etc.
I do not drag race or abuse the Vette, just open it up sometimes for the
hell of it y'know. All the parts are new from Jegs. By the way, they packed everything except the crank, that came in a bare cardboard box with no padding, is that anything to worry about. ? I'll get a camera soon and post
the progress.

I would inspect hell outta that crank, and get the machine shop to check it really close, check for cracks too....shippers are knows to drop ship from 30,000 feet right through the customer's roof......
