thanks for the post, although its a bit odd with contradiction. i don't have a dog C4 -- i HAD a dog C4 when i first bought it, stock. i quickly learned in a matter of a couple short weeks it was absolutely pathetic anfd a huge snore in straight-line acceleration. it required extensive fixing under the hood to make it the way the corvette name is supposed to entail in the first place. no problem, took $5k+ to do it.
But you made a great point: "...In their time, the C4 Corvette was a great car....". Buzzphrase being, way back "in their time". You own one now, you need the power upgraded extensively. That's my point -- their time of day is way over, unless you fix it.
No new name to know them by. Hopefully they will all rot away and disappear. They look terrible and most everyone would say they were a big mistake between the C3 and C5.
Better to have no name than a derogatory name. I know C4 owners pray for that each day.
