Designing in the capability of producing right hand drive capability [engineering design, parts, assembly line] was not a cheap decision. The additional costs must be amortized over the number of right hand drive units sold. Consider also, that the cost to even get the C8 across the border of any foreign country is NOT a cheap transaction...even with Trump's new trade deals. So the fact that in the first 60 hours of taking orders in Japan, 300 C8s were ordered. The base cost there is $91k, 2LT = $102k and the 3LT = $128k. Those orders will not start to be filled until 2021.

To the best of my knowledge, we have not been provided any information about the Australia orders for the C8 as yet.
