An article in this morning's Fort Worth Star-Telegram said that the birth to death ratio for non-hispanics in Texas 1.3, that is, there are 1.3 births for every death. When you look at the hispanic population, the ratio is 8. There are 8 births for every death. Combine that with illegal immigration from Mexico and migration from California because of better jobs environment, and TX is not too far from going back to Mexico. Our population increased over 20% in the last decade. All of the other states with a greater percentage growth were in the west - Arizona, Utah and Idaho. If we don't get our borders under control, this will spread north and east and the rest of you will have many more Mexican food choices.
