Thinking about getting my windows tinted....can't go too black because of state law. Have never done any tinting to a car. I have a precision red vette, do you think it would look weird tinted?
I love how a black car looks tinted....but have rarely come across a red car with tint.
Let me know what you think. Thanks.

I don't think you can go wrong with tinting your windows, especially if you are not going too dark!

You will notice how much cooler in temperature your car gets on those hot days! Worth every penny!!!!! You save on gas, because you need less air conditioning!

I'm with you. I have a mag red c6 and am seriously thinking of tinting.

Not sure when though. Maybe late spring.

Let me know how you make out. Don't know where you are, but its cold with snow on the ground still. Wanted to wait till spring before I make a decision.

Tint looks good on just about any car. I have tinted the windows on my Mag Red C6 and it looks nice.
If you have trouble getting the tint to stick to the dot matrix just have your tint guy use black vinyl on it. It looks good.

Tint

I've tinted my last three, 94, 02 and my C6 with limo black out on the back and 35% on the doors. All three were the dark red or Mag Red II. Keeps heat out thievs from seeing and makes a statement about the car. Get a single piece for the back window. My job ran $150 out here is SoCal.

It'll compliment the lines of the Vette. I'm having mine done as soon as we return to the US

I've had my C4 for almost 18 years. I first tinted the windows when the car was about three years old. That tint lasted about six years before it orange peeled and turned opaque. Tint technology must have improved because the second tint job has lasted for almost 9 years. I noticed last week that its starting to show the signs of drying out and shrinking. The clouded orange peel is less than a summer away.

Worth it - you bet. Protects the interior, keeps it a bit cooler inside, looks cooler from the outside, and you can scratch where it itches, not where it looks the best 'cause ya got privacy!
