The Illinois standard for the HC is 1.492 and my 87 blew a 1.491. :surprised

The standard for CO is 57.371 and it blew a 31.061. :smokin:

CO2 was not required but it was documented anyway and that read 1024.8 grams.

I think the HC are high b/c I put in 2 gallons of 100 octane trying to chase down a knock problem.

I took it in on the first notice. Years ago I did wait til I got the red one once and I failed. They gave me a real hard time about waiting so long.

did your car knock with 100 octane?did you try the old trick of backing the knock sensor out one turn?is the knock at WOT only or mid-range also?do you have a lower t-stat and fan switch?are you having a good weekend?:laughing: do i ask alot of question's?:buhbye:

The 100 octane didn't help. I'm getting knock counts all the time but idle. I might need to adjust the rockers and I want to do some rattle fixing on the exhaust system. I never heard of the knock sensor trick. If those don't work out I will try that. I do have a 160 stat and the fans programmed to turn on earlier.

The weekend is going great. Cold but great. :laughing:

I didnt buy them yet as if I do fail I have to have $660.00 in reciepts towards repairs for a waver. I am gonna go in the spring!:thumbsup:

Is it possible to pass w/o the cats? You'll definately pass when you put the cats on.

Damn, $660 is steep. It's only $450 here.
