What is scary is I've got most of the stuff on the list. Some is home made but is still there. What the hell is a Luis tool? Is the nut cracker for the metal one or the wife because she think you spend too much time with cars? You forgot the garage refrigerator stocked with beer.

louis tool is used to precisely elongate the pushrod slot holes in cylinder heads when swapping to 1.6 and 1.65 ratio rockers to keep the pushrods from rubbing on the bottom of the pushrod clearance slots, if you don,t use it you will in many cases have at least one or two pushrods that will not center in one or both of the lifter seat or the rocker or pushrod seat and they will fail to flow oil correctly, yes we have all installed 1.6 ratio rockers without the tool, but in ALMOST ever case at least one or two pushrods were rubbing and oil flow thru the pushrods was less than ideal, and/or the pushrods did not spin freely, this can and does contribute to cam lobe failure if the miss- match /alignment is severe enought to slow the lifter spinning on the cam lobe

So I guess the Louis tool is a little more precise than a rat tail file. I've never built my own heads so I didnt' know about it. Thanks for the info.
