What needs to be changed to put a 94 targa on an 87? I might sell my top to a friend for his top and some cash but I know they won't just bolt on so do I need to keep my hardware from my top and bolt it on his or will they not interchange?

I believe they're the same dimension wise, just different hardware holding them on. I've got 2 fiberglass tops in my garage that need to be redone and both are from later models, thus I need different hardware.
