I recently bought a converter to switch my video tapes to DV. While I was looking around at Circuit City I came across this Aiptek 3100 DV palm camcorder. It takes AVI video, is 3.1 mega pixel, net camera, and voice recorder. I think it will work good for most situations where I would use the VHS camcorder. It writes to CF card. I have an 128 Mb card and it will last up to 20 minutes of video only. A 512 card would take 80 minutes of video. It has a 1.5" LCD viewfinder and 2X zoom. I've used it some. The video is great, and the stills are dazzling. The best part is it cost $129.00. I think it's a keeper.

Yes, I forgot to add it does sound too. I took video at the farm and it picked up the sound of a jet flying over perfectly. .Just switched the AVI and JPG to VCD format and burned a VCD. I'll see how it all turned out.
