Hello there,

Will it make a difference if I get a tune on a stock 2007 C6 manual with no mods?

Do I need to have mods to see a difference in performance after the tune?

If it's woth it on a stock vehicle. Is there any tuners you can recommend based on experience? I'm in NJ (phili area).

One more question. If i decide to get a mild cam, headers, exhaust and intake. Is it a good idea to buy it and get it installed at Carlisle and then do the tune?

the more mods you have the more the tune will help

i would wait and save your money before you did a tune on a stock car and save up for your parts/instalation and then get a tune:cheers:

That's good advice, if you're going to get a dyno tune specific to your car. Do the mods, then get the tune. If you go for a Predator or SC or any other handheld, you can do it before, during or after. However, any significant mods will require that tune to be customized. Diablo's newest, that I just uploaded, had 93 or 91 octane with or without headers. So, if you put in w/o headers now, you could change later if you add them.

So If I was to add headers, x-pipe, mufflers, or air induction would it be advisible to get a handheld tuner? Could also get rid of the 1-4 shift.

I would probably be adding the parts mentioned above one at a time.

I want to learn how to do this, and do alittle experimenting. But don't want to mess up my car. I could always set it back to factory default right?

Yes, with the Diablo you can. I would guess Superchips works the same way. CAI and exhausts don't need anything special, but headers do. I have Bullets, Aircharger and opened shroud on my '06. The new 93 octane tune seems to be working great with them. Just my 2cents, of course. Dyno tune guys will tell you they can keep your stock tune and you can go back to it. But whogas? If you mod, you don't want to go back, but forward.
