It all boils down to pounds per horse power... So if you weigh 3500 lbs you better be running over a 1000 hp....example 1997 cbr1100, old technology. About 400 lbs, 129 hp. 3 lbs per hp. 0-60 2.8 sec. 1/4 mile 11.2 sec with out rising the front tire.

Sure. My 1995 Kawasaki Concours (1000cc) is faster than my Corvette...in a straight line. But at the limit in corners, my Corvette will slide and not tip over and dump me. I've spun out at the track in a car several times with no ill effects. I've only dumped a bike once at speed, and that really hurt (both the bike and me).

Bikes are fun, but I can't push as close to the limit as I can in my Corvette - I'm too chicken.

I didn't do that poorly, on the dig I took him, although it was short. On the roll, it wasn't as good!
