I got a control arm off ebay and I want to replace the collars and bushings. I got the bushings out of both sides and the shaft won't come out on its own. I could have sworn when I did this before I was able to install bushings and collars on both sides then put the shaft in so why won't it come out on this one. Is this correct or did I get screwed with some oddball part from ebay

are you talking poly or rubber bushings? Assuming you're referring to poly, you still have to have the shaft in place before you install the second collar.

Ok. But I could have sworn I was able to remove the shaft with everything in. Guess not. So then your answer confirms that there isn't anything wrong with my ebay arm too

It sounds like your good.
You have to remove one of the collars to get the shaft out.
