What's scary is that they had a shooting a year before and two bomb threats a month ago. And why the heck didn't they lock down the campus when the first shooting today happened? That was one person. By not locking down the campus, they allowed 23 other people to die. We live in a very unsafe world.

I can't stress this enough...security. Lack of in areas of mass congregation perpetuates crimes such as these. You can't stop everything from happening, but an ounce of prevention goes a long way. I feel for the families and loved ones of the victims.

wow, i have a few friends that go there, and 1 really close friend, they area all ok, but when i first heard, i was freaking. Really sad situation .

fox news is now reporting (at 2:30 EST) that they've confirmed 32 dead and 31 injured.....worst shooting in US history. this is so sad.

that's what I want to know. reports are indicating the first shooting happened at 7:30-ish this morning, and left one person dead. then the mass shootings didn't happen until 9:30 or 10....wouldn't you think that if one person was shot you would take proactive action to lock the place down and make sure nothing else happens??? I'm curious to find out if the gunman was a student or just some random whacko....

The whole thing is tragic. My sypathies and prayers go out to the families of those affected.
