I talked to Jeremy Formato a couple days ago and discussed him coming to Vegas to do some tuning. I was sick of the crappy service that the one tuner in town gives. He sounded really enthusiastic to come out and has agreed to come into town the last week of july 24th - 28th (Tuesday through Saturday), he also has plans to work some serious hours while he is here (upwards of 16hr a day if need be) so we can probably accommodate guys getting off work etc. Nothing is set in stone as of yet so if you have a big problem with that let me know fast.

I wanted guys to have enough time to get some installs done before he shows up. If you don't know who Jeremy is do some searches on this forum and on the ls1tech forums. He is one of the best tuners for the LSx motors in the country and is highly regarded in those circles. One of the things that sets him apart from most tuners that we could have called to come down is his amazing porting ability. He will be porting stock manifolds and TB's while he is here and fast intakes I believe. He will tune for all known applications, FI, HC, N02 etc. There will be no major installs (exceptions are intakes and TB's), this is not at his shop so his tools will be limited and we are bringing him here for his tuning ability, we have plenty of competent installers in town.

As of know I have 5-6 people that want in on the tuning, Jeremy would like 10 minimum and will have a max of about 20-25 people depending on what everyone wants done. I have a feeling we will be turning people away because all 6 of these people are from corvette forum and we will be posting this on all the relevant LSx based forums until the group is full.

We are going to be out at Silver State Motorsports at the speedway. Jeremy will be doing dyno runs/tuning at their location and a big requirement of his was that we be near a nice open road for street tuning after he has the basic dyno tune done. I think with the 75mph speed limit out there this will be a perfect combo.

I will be doing the scheduling for that week so if your interested at all give me an email me at [email protected]. Give me your name and phone number and what you want done (tune, port work) and any time constraints you have (ie. can only do it on wendsday etc.)

ok, I got the pricing from jeremy today.

375 for the tune and dyno run (including street tune)

400 for the stock throttle body and stock intake to be removed, ported, and installed.

An extra 10 to remove the PCV system

150 for the Throttle body porting by itself

300 for the Intake porting by itself

How did this go for you guys? I want to know before and after drag strip times.

I am looking to set up the same exact thing for Phoenix. Jeremy just wrote me back and said he was interested in coming out this way.

However, a couple of guys that have gotten tuned out here have shown less than promising results.

My friend with Kooks, bullets, and a blackwing, sent his PCM away to one of the mail order tuners (this was about a year ago), and picked up maybe .1 at the strip at best. Said he couldn't feel any difference.

And there are two A6's here both with LGs and honker intakes. One tuned (I think by Xtreme), and another with stock PCM, and the non-tuned A6 beats the tuned A6 by about half a second consistently.

Jeremy was thinking sometime in the middle of Sept, although there is already a dyno day setup for Aug 18th. So I am trying to gain as much info as possible before then.

When LPE did my 388" stroker they had to custom burn a chip as the off shelf 383 would not work and the car had no cats. Cr ran 11.9-12.1.

Jeremy took .2 seconds and added 2mph to what their chip did.

My C6 is a manual and I believe the A6 cars to be the fastest. YOu will feel it in every day driving and see it at the track if you can get the 'junk' rear suspension to get you a 60' under 1.8. I ran mine ONE time for two passes and both were in the very low 12's; frankly, I don't remember as I only remember the two drag cars I drive: I think in 8 and 9 seconds now and the Vette I don't race on the drag strip.

Back to your point: I have NEVER hear even one person express dissatisfaction with Jeremy's tunes.

Make a post and ask for PM's from disappointed customers- - bet you won't get any.

Barkow,

I just don't want to see you spend money on things you may not need. Everything related to the Converters was shut down after my tune and I know it was fine before. I can guarentee that my car wasn't passing inspection until I fixed it with LS2 edit. I understand that you are already in the process of fixing the 02 sensors, but if they are disabled you aren't going to know if it helped anything. If you go to the back of the car and it smells rich like mine did that is your sign something is a miss. Maybe call Jeremy and ask him to take a look at your file so that you know what is working and what isn't. Like I said I'd be more than willing to help you out I was wrong earlier the extra license is $100 not $150. I don't think it's specifically 200 miles either I think it's more related to vehicle run cycles the number of which I'm not certain of. I believe you could drive the car 2 miles a certain number of times and it'll relearn things, where if you drive it 3000 miles one time it may still need whatever number of run cycles just to make sure everything is OK. Let me know how you make out.

My rear 02 sensors have been off for 19,000 miles and the cats are on but the check ( which can only be the rear 02's) is fine. NO rich smell etc . . . I think there is something else going on here besides the seemingly obvious.

I agree call jeremy and have your file checked.

You know, I still never got any replies from someone who was actually in Vegas and had their car tuned by Jeremy. At least I don't see any now.
