VIR in july

i know what ya mean.i want to start packin now,i did VIR when i bought my 01 coup in 01 now i gotta run the 07 z but watch out for that treeeee.ive talked to some zeers and they said they have gone around the big oak tree in third.i have my doubts. zee ya thereI'll be there, can't wait but I guess I'll have to. :excited:

maybe 2 mile course,lots of turns,beginners get instructor,class room.it sells out in 1 hr. i got on the waiting list and they called so i,m in.479 dollars ,2 day course.ya really learn the car and yourself.i did my first one when i bought my 01 coup.now me and the new z are going.go to the nat. corvette museum. com look up events/VIR. MY OPINE ITS THE BEST TRACK ON THE EAST COAST. one straight away ya can go 140 plus. all types of cars welcome.no vendors just performance driving 101EX, whats the scoop for this thing? Just 10 days away. Took my car to Dealer Tuesday for the required mechanic checklist, flushed out old DOT3 brake fluid and had fresh DOT4 put in. Went over rear suspension today and torqued everything to spec. Tomorrow I will check out front suspension. I have been putting together items I may need at track, tool box, jack, jack stands, air tank, spare set of brake pads, etc. Too many things to mention. I'm getting excited, for this will be my first HPDE. Finally I'll be able drive my C6Z06 the way it should be drove without worry of tickets or putting the public in harms way. :thumbsup:
I'll be there as well as an instructor. If it's your first time at an HPDE, the biggest mistake you can make is to think you're going to go out on the track and light it up. Yeah, you'll go fast down the straights, but it's going to take you some time to figure out how to be fast on the track and that means corners. Take it slow, focus on smoothness and the speed will come. It's harder than you think to really get going fast and still be smooth. The two go hand in hand. And VIR is longer than most tracks with more corners so it takes a while to master the line. Anyway, you'll have a blast. Just drive safe and let it come to you.
I'll be there! I just had my car prepped today: DOT4 brake fluid, oil change, checklist complete! I had to take a day off from work, but, hey, sometimes you have to make sacrifices! :laughing:
Hey USA1C5! Are you going to have room for everything? I'm wondering if I'm going to make it. The pile in the living room is beginning to resemble a horror movie! I may have to leave the tools. I don't know how to use them anyway!:rolling:

Yes, I appreciate the advise. I will take it easy and try to do exactly what my instructor says. I don't expext to light up the track. Hey PharmZ! I don't know if I will have room for everything. I keep coming up with stuff I might need. Guess I'll have to draw the line somewhere. It's amazing how big my pile is getting also. I ALWAYS use third around the tree. What day is this? I want to be there! VIR isn't far from me, and I've never been there, so I want to go. I don't have a vette, but i can bring a boat-load of tools and the like.
edit: I found the dates. I might be able to be there...missing DiffEq is a high price to pay for not being able to drive the track
