Will xspower headers/sidepipes work with a zz383 crate and vortec heads? I need to get some gaskets for them and dont want to keep replacing blown out ones.

Keep in mind vortec heads are d-port (aluminum).

Help! Need to get moving on parts to get th ecar back together.

Typically header manufacturers will recommend a gasket that they trust and that fits their design. It's better that the gasket match the header above all.

Also, unless you gasket match with both the headers and the heads you will almost never get a perfect fit. Are you able to gasket match the components?

I like Mr. Gasket exhaust header gaskets. I've always had good results, you can buy them locally, and they're not too expensive.

I think they should. Ask Josh to be sure, but I have XS headers and Im running Edelbrock E-tec heads which are a design based off of the Vortec.

and you used square port gaskets and that worked ok with d port heads?
Well, mine ports are square, like these Vortec heads:

But as long as you make sure the gasket isnt obstructing the port I would think you'd be alright.

These are listed for "D" port, and they look pretty similar in shape to the ones I listed above and used.

I definitely recommend contacting Josh (Custom Image Corvettes), he'll guide you in the right direction.
