Next week we will prep the hood, quarters, and jams, and get the rest of the car in the booth.

What you see here is the best method to coat the bumpers 360 degrees, eliminate over spray, and get it slicker than a wet hen in a pig pen!

This is PPG Concept base/clear - pure black. The silver accent is 97 Corvette silver. This will make the fog lamps and side marker appear to wrap around the nose.

My helper Chance put this paint on so stinking slick it is amazing. By laying the doors flat and propping the bumpers up we could accentuate some of the more difficult areas to get ultra wet and slick. This would not work for a metallic paint - as there could be matching problems.

How do you like the silver accent?

I am pooped. Been running a 102 fever since Wednesday, and couldn't be of any help to Chance, but was there for moral support.

Going to bed now.

The rest of the car is painted. No pictures...we were so tired we set the fan and locked up the booth for the weekend. I'll get it Monday night and see.

I have to paint the top of the rear window and a few small things here at the house over the weekend...then next week we put it back together!

There are a few small runs that I'll have to wetsand out then too.
