Stock shocks for '94 were Bilstein Heavy Duty.
Look at the bottom part of the shock, and if you see evidence of a fluid leak (it may look like a big dirty grease spot), then it's time to change 'em.
My '95 has about 55k on it, and I recently replaced mine - and it made a tremendous difference in the way it handles and rides.
