Dare I say unbreakable?

Hey, it's a GS, it's not an old Packard. I'm gonna drive it like a Grand Sport!

- I've put about 100 drag runs on her (at the drag strip).
- I've done furious burnouts.
- I bring the car to redline every time I take it out.
- I've done hundreds of hole-shots and power shifts. Hundreds. Hell, maybe a 1000.
- I have driven it in 19 states and 4 bad snow storms.

The result?

After I put 30,000 very TOUGH miles on this car... all I needed was shocks and a fuel filter... and 4 sets of rear tires!

The car drives like new!

- I can spin the tires and kick the back-end out on the 1-2 shift (scary for a passenger).
- I can chirp or spin the tires on the 2-3 shift at 80+ mph. (take a ride with me, I'll prove it).
- My brakes are all original, and show almost no sign of wear.
- It turns so hard, on a left turn I can launch the passenger out their window if they aren't buckled in.

This car rocks. Thanks GM. :buhbye:

That's because you don't use the brakes. All you use is the gas!!!

Yeah, I remember that, too.

Oh, don't forget the last LT4 car he had burned up. Too many hole shots in his driveway I think! :rolling:

I'm a little more reserved, but I have my moments mostly at the strip and autoX. I try not to go all out on the street to much. Insurance is a bear in the city.:( Of course I did blow my clutch on a missed shift, but in no way is that gonna slow me down.:)

I had a pretty nasty bad luck streak once the 383 went in. at 5000 miles each, both my Rossler(supposedly bulletproof:rolleyes: ) 700R4's took a crapper. As did the Vigilante 3000 convertor. O well! I like my pro torque 2800 and locally done 700 fine.

As for durability, this mighty mouse Lingenfelter 383 has seen nearly 47,000 miles of HARD use....ran it's best e.t. and mph three weeks ago and has only had one lifter collapse and a leaky intake gasket for maintenance. That isn't bad at all.

As for durability of the car, it's ok.

Alright. I know you're in the Chicago area. Cook county has emissions testing doesn't it? How do you pass without them?
