I am working with American Racing Headers on a new sytem for my 87. When I told them I had Flow Masters they recomended a more free flowing muffler. I am waiting to hear back on what they suggest, so my question to everyone is what do you think would flow better then Flow Masters?

When I cut my mufflers off, I did not pick up any time (or MPH) in the 1/4 mile.

In my opinion, the stock mufflers flow excellent. I wouldn't spend a whole lot of money on high-flow mufflers considering you already have them.

Your catalytic converters, on the other hand, might be a flow restriction if they are original.

Currently I'm running the factory front Y-Pipe into 1 pipe no cats back into a flowmaster y-pipe and flowmaster mufflers.

Im looking to go stainless dual via an x-pipe with dual cats.
