This time around? Probably none. The Tea Party will have to grow, and remove itself from the GOP to effect change.

I think there will be a general move to more conservative, fiscally responsible attitudes. I hope they do repeal the health care act and reign in the global warming hoax expenditures. Drill here, drill now ring a bell? Immigration needs to be actively addressed and not in a way that panders to getting the votes from illegals. In general gov't does need to shrink and the private sector grown. I think a large part of the change will have to occur within the voting population actively calling their reps out on BS spending and actions. None of this will happen overnight and will probably require a few voting cycles for movement. The proposed 28th amendment cutting the benefits of our reps is also not a bad idea at all. Career politicians should not exist and should be on the same footing as the general population.

As a side issue, the use of ECT for abbreviating et cetera should be strictly forbidden!! :D

To be honest with you, stopping government spending, in creasing boarder security, and stopping the Health care bill, are far more specific goals ans ambitions than the current administration's campeign promises of hope, change ans yes we can.

Also the goal is to reign in goverment spending not to stop it. The constitution spells out the need and purpose of the federal government and there is spending associated with those Constitutionally mandated duties.

As for border security, I would like to see an increase of physical impediments to boarder crossings at not approved locals(like fences, increased patorls). I would like to see a militarization of the border. The US militarty is the best equiped, best trained and fastest to deploy group available to maintain a secure border. With the amount of criminal activities increasing in border areas (like Falcon Lake in TX) the Border PAtrol is simply uncer manned an unequiped to deal with paramilitary trained drug cartels and pirates.

No more of a prediction than what's happening to it now actually.
I don't really think obama actually gives a crap about your or my
health, it's a control issue. I find it so odd that the party most interested in governmental control of day to day living is termed liberal? I think that's a misnomer and fear a lot of people think liberal? cool that's for me , without really even looking at what they stand for.

In addition, a fix of the financial reform act and restructuring our corporate tax rate to give some certainty to business so they have the confidence to start hiring again, which will give consumers more confidence to start spending more again.

The better question would be -"What change can they implement" ?

The answer to that is "very little". We have an extreme leftist progressive that has worked very hard taking over key sectors of manufacturing, finance, education and environmental protection. (on the backs -and at the cost of his democrat associates, careers) His acquisition of the EPA is more important -to his democratic socialist (anti colonialist) ideology... as it requires no congressional over site -and may rule freely, regardless of the majority in congress.
"A coup consists of the infiltration of a small, but critical, segment of the state apparatus, which is then used to displace the government from its control of the remainder", thus, armed force (either military or paramilitary) is not a defining feature of a coup d'état.
This, along with his veto power -will make change in ideological direction... extremely hard. -Unless the republicans can pick up 100+ seats.

The answer to this conundrum -is for the Republicans to call for more votes by the people, in these key sectors... and use the supreme court to effect change in ideological direction.

That is my hope and expectation for the republican party.
