I like doing stuff myself and want to buy a decent service manual so I can work on the vette myself , I'm not wanting to rebuild the motor, will probably have to rteplace my clutch, belts , brakes and check (6 spedd ) tranny & rear end fluids.
Gonna buy one from autozone or discount auto parts unless I hear of a better manual out there.

Purchase the specific year GM Corvette Service Manual (Shop Manual) for your car. There are differences among the years and you want the best information.

The generic manuals are great as a secondary information source but you want a service manual specific for your year.

You should just spend the money on the Factory Service Manual. It's a little pricey but, it will pay for itself if you plan on doing a lot of your own work. I picked one up for my '93 and it was worth the coin.
