Because of the C6's suspension geometry and type, it is prone to wheelhop. The cold weather really brings it out. If you feel/hear it happening, immediately get out of the gas, as it will eventually ruin the rear-end. Some people have switched over to non-runflat tires such as the PS2, and have noticed decreased wheelhop.

Last month I replaced the stock shocks with Bilstein Sport shocks. They are suppose to eliminate wheel hop. I have only gotten into it once since they were installed. I didn't get any wheel hop, but it didn't happen every time. I guess time will tell.
