I've been a "car guy" my entire life which is a considerable time as I'm not exactly a youngster. So we purchased the 2013 standard model, convertible some time ago. Safe to say, I'm nervous as hell when working on it, even performing simple tasks. Well the issue now concerns what size socket is required to loosen wheel lug nuts. These babies are really cranked down tighter then hell. I want to make darn sure of it before I start jumping on a 3 foot bar !!! Thanks....

what make and model of car?
yeah it matters as some brands of car differ, in wheel lock nut size,
and some cars use reverse rotation or left hand thread wheel studs,
yeah I could ASSUME its a corvette, but thats certainly not a 100% sure bet!
its likely to use 19mm lug nuts, with 12mm /1.5mm thread pitch , on a vette
after the nuts are removed, visually inspect the wheel studs and threads for damage,
if some idiot used a air wrench/impact gun on the wheel nuts
and before you re-install the nuts use a bit of anti seize or grease on the wheel stud threads
use a torque wrench set at 95-100 ft lbs when re-tightening the lug nuts
even a dirt cheap beam type torque wrench would be better than some tire store moron with an impact gun used on your lug nuts.
