Oh, there's a lot of us still here! In my case, I finally got my build finished (are they ever really finished?) so I don't post a lot these days. But this forum is still very active, at least in my opinion. I know that whenever I post a question I always get lots of good advice. I also try to answer any questions, provided I know the answer. Point is, anyone asking a C3 question here will very likely get a response pretty quickly. Sometimes that triggers a whole new discussion. So don't hold back on questions you might have!

Social media most likely, especially any of the younger crowd (What is the younger crowd by corvette standards?). In the digital age (see what i did there) most people don't want to do the research themselves, they just want it spoon fed to them.

Maybe this is why drag racing is dying.

This forum was pretty busy a few years ago. Where is everyone hiding? [email protected]$m? *** 'em!

i still get the 'notification' emails, and occasionally lurk--but
the "2 wash bucket secret" guy and former moderator drove
a lot of us away with his stalinesque technics, racist ranting
and outright threats backed by his ability as a mod to go
and change/erase any evidence.....

though ive heard hes been reigned in, the whole experience
soured this board for me permanently.

This was the "go to" corvette site when I started my project, tons of posts every day, lots of innovative thoughts etc... It really kept me motivated for many years. My car is pretty much done now and I'm enjoying a car that drives more like a late model sports car than a 71 vette, and in large part thanks to this forum. (y)

I think the ones with the C3, C4, and C5 were really into modifications when the C6 came along the owner were content with just driving them and did modify them as much. When the C7 hit the street and now the C8 the Vettes are getting too complicated to work on without the computer programs and special tools IMHO

I agree with you there, I could tinker around with my C3 and have fun. C5, a little, but not too much. My C6, just drove the hell out of it. My C7's, drive, drive, drive, have no desire to tinker with anything, my Z has more power than I'll ever use or need, just fun to drive.
