That after a year and a half of being ignored, stored and neglected my 88 has been started and driven around the block a few times.

You should have seen it, when I pulled it out of the garage dust bunnies were flying off of it like it was falling apart. I had boxes stored on the car, blankets etc..

A few weeks ago SheriffD2 and his wife came into town and had dinner with me and my family. (We usually meet up in his neck of the woods about once a year) He helped me realize that I have not touched my car in a year and a half, or even started it up.. he gave me the vette spark back.. now my credit card company will be in love with me again.

A year and a half??? Wow that's a long time. Great to hear it's back on the road!

Put a new battery in it and it fired up with about 4 seconds of turnover. :)

Funny how it goes in cycles when you have a child, huh? I find myself doing that same thing. My garage is detached from the house so I can go a week or more and not even see my car. Of course when I get to drive it though look out baby.
Glad your back in the fun part of the "cycle".

Its funny you mention it. When emily was born I had all these ideas for the car and slowly they get put on the back burner. I literally hadn't opened the car door for over a year.

Wait until you have 2 kids LOL

I get to enjoy mine if I drive it to work, I don't get out much with it on weekends. a friend just got a ZR1 and I wanted to get over there to take it out, but I doubt I will get there this weekend.. Been busy..

The other issue I have is BOTH want to ride in the vette, btu I only have room for one at a time :(
