Something unique even for HorsePower TV: a GM smallblock built with the sturdy, old-style 350 block and the more modern LS top end. What kind of power will this hybrid make? The results might amaze you! I was watching this episode today, and all I could think of was all you guys here that are running SBC engines. This episode will reveal all of the latest technology that has FINALLY incorporated into our old school blocks. Check it out here!

Judging by the supplier list on that link, it looks as though they will use a World Products LS block with a carburetor on top. It's more like making the new old than making the old new. You have to start off with an LSx block and get one of the Edelbrock or similar manifolds that will allow use of a carburetor.

Not a bad way to lighten an old small block car by swapping to the aluminum LSx block though.

naturaly asperated 550 HP is not bad... But what is the cost? And it bolts to small block mounts with no adapters. An easy way to go LSx...
