Electric Vehicles and Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Motor Propulsion Systems

I like the fact that there are no brakes, no engine, no transmission, no drive shafts/axle's and torque output is the same @ 100rpm as it is at top end. Can you imagine the amout of tires you burnout kings would be going through?

What's your opinion?

I wonder if you could even do a burnout. You would have to hit those electric motors with a tremendous amount of power vice the way they ramp up. I've never done a burnout in a electric golf cart.

Now, if you had brakes, I'm sure you could get one started.

I like the idea and wouldn't mind one but, don't ask me to give up my internal combustion engine.

Oh yea, I LOVE the sound of my V8 and it would be hard for me to give it up. I listen to my car more than the radio.

I wonder just how quiet the DWD could be, stealth quiet?

I know the military is using this technology.
