ive been talking with a few other corvette owners about the brakes on the Z06...and a couple of them took the OEM brakes off and replaced them with Brembos.
My question is who makes the OEM brakes and calipers for the Z06 and why would these guys be changing them? I would have thought the 'stock' brakes for the Z06 would be good enough even under the harshest of conditions.
I must through a caveat on this...these guys race their Corvettes (not on a professional level, but on a weekend or two every couple of month)so would that make the reasoning?
cheers!

I have driven the two back to back. I can tell you the Brembo stop a lot better. A friend that has them on his C6 Z06 says they hold up better(fade) and they do not heat the brake fluid up as much when racing.

so what you are saying is 'PBR' supplies the Z06 braking equipment? Hmm...are they any good? should i look at replacing them to Brembos or something else if i'm going to become a weekend racer in my Z06?

it's a 2007 in case that helps.
Cheers
The stock brakes are just that, "Stock Brakes!" You will be very pleased with the Brembos if you get them. They are top of the line in my opinion.
